Plastic, rubbish and household waste are having a huge impact on our local beauty spots and the ocean as a whole. With nearly two million single-use plastic bags distributed every minute all over the world, now’s the time for change.
What Are We Doing?
Lovingly named O2C Keep it Clean, our new initiative aims to reduce the amount of waste that’s in our local parks, forests and beaches.
Throughout the year, our team of willing (yes, really willing) volunteers will be taking to the beaches, parks and forests in and around Hampshire to collect the litter and waste that’s been (naughty people) left behind or has blown in from different places.
Guess what, you’re invited! We’re looking for local businesses to help us take the fight against plastic to the next level. We know that it’s a big ask to let your team have some time off on a Friday afternoon, but we’re already doing it, so why aren’t you?
How can you get involved?
We’ve created an web page that details when the next event’s going to be, and as an added bonus, booking your place is completely free.
Cleaning up our local areas shouldn’t come with a price, so all you need to bring with you is a warm coat and your enthusiasm to make a real change in and around our local areas.
To book your ticket or to find out more about our next meet, take a look at the page:
Tickets are completely free, so we’d love it if you could take part, but make sure you let us know if you have any questions.
If you’re already taking part in the war against waste, then why not reach out to us on Twitter and Instagram, we’d love to see the pictures you’ve taken and the hard work you’ve put into protecting the future of our natural world.
Eventbrite page says it”s “sold out, will we need to have registered to get in?
