O2C Newsletter November 2012
As always, I just want to start by wrapping up the previous month. I appreciate that if the month I was wrapping up was December, then that would work much better as a pun – instead we’ll just have to make do with a pun-less, yet no less interesting summary.
Portsmouth Business Expo 2012
We were proud to be headline sponsor of the inaugural Portsmouth Business Expo, held on 18th October at the Pyramid Centre in Southsea.
Once again we had a bit of fun at our stand, as we created a live painting in front of interested onlookers, which focused on One2create’s 10-year anniversary celebrations!
We also pushed forward with our ethos for being knowledge givers, presenting an interactive social media workshop, which used audience response ‘clickers’ to to measure the uptake and usage patterns for social media within our region.
The event and the workshop, titled ‘Does your marketing measure up?’, was a great success with lots of positive feedback from delegates and visitors to our stand. We now look forward to the next one. You can also view the results in our fabulous infographic.
Hampshire Chamber of Commerce Meet the Chamber in Basingstoke
This event gave us the opportunity to proudly receive out Gold Patron certificate from the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.
We love supporting the local community and working with the fantastic businesses in our region, so gaining our Gold Patron certificate was a great moment for One2create.
Our Managing Director, David Harris gave a speech designed to echo the message that One2create is living by these days. That message centres on the statement ‘knowledge is power’.
We firmly believe that by sharing with others, people will appreciate you as part of the business community, remember your brand and are more likely to recommend you as a result.
But there was a twist! At the end of the speech, David told delegates to take a look under their seat, where they would find that One2create were already working to change the luck of others. Under each seat were lucky envelopes containing a scratch card for each delegate along with our business card and compliments.
Once again this event enabled us to create a real buzz around our brand and was a great success.
So what’s going on in November?
The main event in November is one billed as a Christmas get together, complete with luxurious champagne reception – sponsored by One2create of course – with a big drive to raise funds for a fantastic service.
The event in question? The Hampshire Chamber of Commerce ‘County Air Ambulance Christmas Dinner’.
Held at the De Vere hotel in Southampton on 26th November, One2create will not only be sponsoring the champagne reception, but also helping out with event decorations and marketing, for which we have already designed and distributed a mailer and event poster.
With live music, a delicious Christmas dinner and special guest speaker, Murray Walker OBE, it promises to be a glitzy extravaganza.

The good news just keeps on coming!
Following a free of charge branding exercise we undertook for Hawk Conservancy Trust, where we created t-shirt designs, posters, a new Twitter background and certificate design, we were recently presented with our own certificate and thank you letter for supporting the Trust’s Nest Box Challenge.
Hawk Conservancy Trust is a fantastic charity, dedicated to the conservation, education, research and rehabilitation of wild birds. The charity is supported by wildlife expert, Chris Packham, who One2create interacted with recently over Twitter to promote the Trust’s Nest Box Challenge.
Our tweets to Chris received 87 clicks and 20 retweets, resulting in a brand reach of over 80,000 people. The superb coverage we achieved for the Trust shows the power of One2create’s branding and social media services.
