Google will soon be penalising your non-mobile friendly website

Just a quick update to keep you guys in the loop!

Google is in the process of sending webmasters of non-mobile friendly websites notifications stating that they need to take action. These notifications are being sent out via Google Webmaster Tools and email with the subject line of, “fix mobile usability issues found on …”.

We have been saying for quite some time that the writing was on the wall for non-mobile friendly websites and that at some point, Google will start to penalise them in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). This latest act from Google further cements the fact that if you still don’t have a mobile friendly website you need to do something about it right now and make sure your website is responsive.

If you found this interesting and would like more information on Google and its shift towards mobile friendly websites, check out a few of our blogs from last year.
